Firmware normally updates automatically when the device is connected to the app and no recording is in progress. If you need to trigger the update manually, follow these steps:
1. Make sure your phone is connected to the internet.
2. Confirm the Frontier X app is connected to your Frontier X3 via Bluetooth.
3. Place your Frontier X3 and your phone next to each other.
4. Open the app, go to the settings page, and tap "Upgrade Firmware".
5. Wait for the progress bar to complete. The device will reset automatically.
6. Watch for the confirmation lights — blue, red, green, blue — and a final single buzz.
Your Frontier X3 should reset and reconnect automatically to the Frontier X app.
