3. Switching On & Connecting your Phone to the Frontier X3

The Frontier X3 has no on-device display. The LED on top of the device shows you its state, and everything else — your data, battery level and settings — lives in the Frontier X app.

1. Charge your Frontier X3 to at least 50%, if it is not charged already, so that the first firmware update can complete. Follow the charging procedure in Section 15.


2. Once charged, disconnect the Frontier X3 from the charger.


3. If the device is in sleep mode, press the blue button on the device to wake it up. You should see a blue light blinking. This indicates the device is advertising and ready to connect.


4. Open the Frontier X app and click on the "Connect" button (top right corner of the homepage), which will search for the devices nearby and list them.


5. To choose the correct device, look at the serial number printed on the side of the device, and select the matching device from the list shown in the app.


6. Once the device is connected, the blinking blue light will change to alternating blue and green blinking lights.

 
⚠️ Please do not connect the device with your phoneʼs Bluetooth. This will prevent the device from connecting to the App.

📝 You can now wear the device and use the app to start recording.
