On the Frontier X3, the following features require a Frontier Premium subscription:


  • Metabolic profile (VO2 and VT1, VT2 graphs)
  • Max VO2
  • Sleep staging (web app)
  • Readiness
  • Garmin Connect integration

📝 Pairing the Frontier X3 to a Garmin device as an external heart rate monitor is free. It is the Garmin Connect data integration that requires Frontier Premium.

Everything else on the Frontier X3 is available to all users with no subscription required — including heart rate, HRV, strain, breathing rate, body shock, step cadence, calories, stress and training load, real-time alerts, on-device recording and syncing, and the Frontier X web dashboard.

📝 Live ECG streaming, ECG PDF download, share link during recording and share link during ECG streaming are Frontier X Plus features. The Frontier X3 does not display or provide an ECG output, so these are not available on it at any subscription tier.
